Sparks will fly with Zeraora GX in SM7A, Thunderclap Spark!

Zerora GX Thunderclap Spark SM7A Expansion Deck card.

Zeraora appears like a thunderbolt!  SM7A Thunderclap Spark is the brand-new 60+ card expansion from the Pokémon TCG, and it promises to be electric!

Released July 6th and available to order from Plaza Japan right now, SM7A is the latest expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game series and brings with it the recently revealed Mythical Pokémon which is set to be a prominent feature in the 2018 Pokémon Movie "Everyone's Story" - Zeraora GX.

The electric-type Pokémon Zeraora will certainly make sparks fly - it's ability "Thunderclap Zone" means that your Pokémon with attached Lightning Energy will have no retreat cost. Coupled with Zeraora's powerful GX attack, "Full Voltage GX", you can attach five discarded energy to your Pokémon in any way you like, allowing your Pokémon to move freely across the battlefield in no time! Zeraora hasn't entered the fray alone, however, as Genesect GX, Virizion GX and Magcargo GX are the other "RR" Pokémon in SM7A - and will without a doubt all be sought-after in Secret Rare "SR" and Hyper Rare "HR" form!

Prism Star cards also make a return in Thunderclap Spark, but not as you'd expect! Up until now, Prism Star Pokémon have been limited exclusively to Legendary Pokémon, but SM7A is breaking all boundaries set before it! Which Pokémon is it? Well, anything you want it to be! Ditto, the shape-shifting Kanto favourite, is the first ever non-Legendary Pokémon to be given Prism Star status. Ditto has no attacks - just one almighty Prism Star-worthy ability. "Evolve Into Anything" allows you to evolve Ditto into ANY stage 1 Pokémon the turn after it is played. With this kind of versatility in mind, Ditto will surely be one of the first cards on any decklist. The other Prism Star of SM7A is also something new - a Stadium card. Thunder Mountain continues the electric-theme and means that the attacks of Lightning-type Pokémon cost one fewer Lightning Energy. Talk about fully charged!

Zeraora's influence is felt throughout the entire set, even when it comes to new Trainer cards. The brand-new Item Electric Power is no coincidence and is introduced alongside Custom Catcher, Mix Herb and Counter Gain for the first time. As always, some Items will turn golden when pulled in stunning Secret Rare "SR" form, but these are secrets still unknown!

We did mention Ditto would be an immediate requirement for any deck, and we could say that again about one of the brand-new Supporter cards found in Thunderclap Spark - Sightseer! Playing Sightseer means that you can "Draw cards until you have 5 cards in your hand. If you do, you may discard any number of cards from your hand before drawing.", essentially resetting your entire hand! Any experienced TCG player will tell you just how vital this card could become. Will Sightseer be one of the Supporter's to receive an "SR" Full Art variant? We certainly hope so, but already we've been treated to two confirmed "SR" Supporter cards. Both Khaili, the last member of Alola's Elite Four to make their TCG debut, and a reintroduced Supporter, Judge, will be in SM7A as breath taking Full Arts!

Are you ready to take your deck to full voltage with Thunderclap Spark? The might of a brand new Mythical Pokémon, Zeraora GX , along with the likes of Prism Star Ditto and Sightseer are cards that will spark any deck! SM7A is a set not to be missed, so don't get left behind in battle and order from Plaza Japan today!
