FFM-1 "Mogami" is a state-of-the-art escort ship that was commissioned in April 2022.
It is equipped with a sonar for mine countermeasures, an autonomous underwater mine detector UUV, and an unmanned surface vehicle USV for mine clearance, and is specialized in minesweeping missions against advanced mines.
In addition, consideration has been given to improving stealth, and most of the equipment is installed on the inside of the inclined ship's side, and the ship's appearance is different from previous escort ships, with a distinctive unicorn-shaped composite antenna and a pyramidal mast with a multi-function radar arranged on four sides.
