Akizuki is the name ship of the Akizuki-class anti-aircraft destroyer, equipped with four high-speed, long-range 10cm high-angle cannons and long cruising power on a larger hull.
She was commissioned in June 1942 and fought hard in the early battles, but was sunk in the Battle of Cape Engano in October 1944.
