The M250 series Super Rail Cargo is the first distributed power type express container train developed for the purpose of reducing the environmental load (CO2 reduction) and high-speed transportation of small-lot combined cargo such as parcels. In recent years, the train has been operated with U50A containers loaded instead of the previous U54A containers, and the design of the head mark on the front has been changed to a simpler one.
- The second and third trains of the M250 series are commercialized.
- The head mark sticker on the front is the current simple design.
- Compared to the conventional U54A, it is loaded with a U50A container, which is shorter. The difference in the halo mark is also reproduced.
- The car number and car markings are printed.
- The intermediate cars T260/T261 are both reproduced without the JRF mark.
- The Super Rail Cargo mark written on the side of the car is beautifully expressed.
- The roof-mounted equipment, including lightning arresters and antennas, is accurately reproduced.
- Head/tail lights are lit (using incandescent LEDs). Realistic headlight lighting is reproduced.
- The couplers for the intermediate car coupling are equipped with KATO close-coupled couplers as standard.
- The basic set (4 cars) is an affordable best selection package. The extension set A (4 cars) uses an 8-car bookcase that can store the contents of the basic set.
