The E3 Series 2000 entered service as a 7-car trainset with 12 units from December 2008 to April 2010. It featured changes like a new headlight design compared to the E3 Series 1000 and replaced the 400 Series that had been in service since the opening of the Yamagata Shinkansen. In April 2014, a color change was made to enhance the appeal of the Yamagata Shinkansen, coinciding with the Yamagata Destination Campaign in 2015.
Alongside the successor E8 Series, the E3 Series 2000 acts as a main vehicle for the Yamagata Shinkansen. We are reproducing the new color scheme for the Yamagata Shinkansen "Tsubasa." The product is scheduled for release in February 2025. You can recreate the coupled operation scenes observed between Tokyo and Fukushima by pairing it with products like the E5 Series Shinkansen "Hayabusa" and H5 Series Hokkaido Shinkansen "Hayabusa."
