Kato 10-2038 Series 381 'Shinano' (JR Type) 3 Cars Add-on Set (N scale)

The 381 series is the only commercially operating pendulum-type train of the former Japan National Railways style. With the transition to JR, various modified trains were introduced to increase the number of operations. The 381 series of the Shinryo Train Depot, responsible for the "Shinano" service, had variations in its Green Car, with different types such as the high driver's cabin style of the 0 series, the panoramic vehicle of the 10 series, and the 50 series with a modified cabin for ordinary seating. Notably, the 381 0-series, a conversion of the Salo 381 into a leading car, is distinguished by its single door at the front and connecting bellows and was actively used in various formations according to demand, such as seasonal extensions.
