The HOKI5200 was manufactured by Hitachi from 1958 to 1961, with a total of 20 units produced. It is a 30-ton open hopper car with a unique exterior design. Two cars were equipped with an operation room for the pneumatic opening and closing of gate-style bottom doors on the entire train formation, these were always included in the formation. These privately owned freight cars by Tosa Lime Industry were used for transporting limestone from Tosa Lime Industry’s private line through the Dosan Main Line between Togano and Tanogou to cement factories. Approximately 100,000 tons of limestone were transported per month over this 13km section, hauled by a DF50 double-header in shuttle operations.

- Of the 9 cars, one HOKI5205 is included with an operation room.
- Includes accessories for user installation such as marker lights, reflectors seen at different times, and spare knuckle couplers.
