Kato 10-1966 Series 87 TWILIGHT EXPRESS Mizukaze 6 Cars Add-on Set (N scale)

The "TWILIGHT EXPRESS Mizukaze" began operations on June 17, 2017 (Heisei 29) as a cruise train that travels across western Japan. Building on the tradition of the "Twilight Express," it was developed with the concept of "a moving hotel showcasing the beauty of Japan," aiming to promote the charm of the regions along its route and become a representative train of Japan. It is a 10-car hybrid diesel train, and it is the first vehicle by JR West to adopt a full-fledged hybrid system.
Reproduces the body shape with a stately yet streamlined design, its signature observation deck, and window arrangement featuring large side windows for an open feel.

- Accurately recreates the interiors visible through the windows, including the observation room, lounge, dining car, and suite rooms.
- The distinctive patterns drawn on the walls of the dining car kitchen are reproduced through printing. The guest rooms are recreated in their daytime state, with doors open and views extending left and right.
- The carpet in the observation room of the leading cars is reproduced (Car No. 1 → Blue / Car No. 10 → Green).
- The exhaust pipes, unique to diesel vehicles, located on the end walls of Cars 1, 5, 6, and 10 are reproduced as separate parts.
- The color and luster of the real "Mizukaze Green" and the elegant coating with gold stripes are faithfully reproduced.
- Various logos, lettering, and nameplates are realistically represented through printing.
- The headlights and taillights light up, and the marker lights above the observation deck illuminate during reverse operation.
- Equipped with dedicated interior lighting panels. By incorporating separately sold interior lighting units, interior lights can be realistically illuminated.
- Adopts a slotless motor for smooth and quiet running performance.
- Both leading cars use dummy couplers (with coupling cover attached), and the intermediate coupling parts adopt body-mounted close couplers (with hooks).
- Packaged in a specially designed bookcase sleeve inspired by the real train.
