- EF56 primary type featuring a rounded welded body. Accurately commercialized the contrasting appearance with the angular style of EF57.
- From the late 1960s to the early 1950s, commercialized the prototype of Unit 6, which belonged to the Utsunomiya engine depot and was active mainly on the Tohoku Main Line in its later years.
- Selectable license plates are 2, 3, 6, and 7. Maker's plate comes with Kawasaki vehicle as a user-installed part.
- The pantograph near the center is equipped with PS14 (black). A Joban Line radio antenna is included as a user-installed part.
- The blow-up chimney, which is a feature of the EF56 equipped with SG, is also reproduced exactly. The roof high pressure lead-in line and SG safety valve are reproduced with metal parts.
- Accurately express the heavy bogie unique to old electric locomotives. Accurately reproduces the inner underframe type front bogie that is different from the EF57.
- Coupler is equipped with Arnold coupler as standard. KATO knuckle coupler (CS type) is included for replacement
- A power unit with a well-established flywheel provides stable running and traction.
