JR's first new DC machine EF66 100 series
The EF66 100 series is a locomotive manufactured to enhance the freight transportation of JR freight. In terms of performance, it follows the EF66 type 0 series, but the leading shape has been redesigned, and the paint color has also adopted the new standard color of JR Freight.
Following the eight 100-series primary cars, in 1990, a secondary car appeared as an improved version. As for the appearance, changes such as the addition of a blue line on the hem of the car body and the conversion of headlights to square lights can be seen.
We will commercialize the EF66 100 series, which is still active in the Fukida engine district, with the current appearance of the blue roof paint.
