The ED75 0 series, which supported the transportation of passenger goods in the Tohoku region, has been fully renewed and commercialized.
The ED75 is an AC-only general-purpose locomotive designed with an emphasis on versatility as a successor to the ED71, as the Joban Line was electrified to Taira Station (currently Iwaki Station) in 1963. The 0-series is a group that manufactured 160 cars for the Tohoku Main Line and Joban Line. It was responsible for the operation of the Tohoku Main Line (north of Kuroiso) and Joban Line from Hira to Aomori, and was active in various scenes from freight trains to general passenger cars and blue train towing.
