Description
The Kintetsu 1026 series is a train series based on the 1020 series, designed for the Kyoto and Nara lines, and manufactured starting in 1993 (Heisei 5). It features VVVF control and bolsterless bogies. A total of six four-car sets and three six-car sets were produced. The "Narashika Train" is a train wrapped in illustrations created by the artist "Gemi," depicting scenes of Nara, including deer. These illustrations are applied to the entire exterior of the train. Inside, the train is adorned with Gemi's illustrations, along with charming details such as strap handles shaped like deer and seats inspired by the backs of deer, making it a delightful vehicle to ride. The 1026 series, set 1029 "Narashika Train," began operation in April 2023 (Reiwa 5). It serves on the Kintetsu Nara Line, Osaka Line, and directly connected lines such as the Hanshin Main Line and Hanshin Namba Line.
