Following updates to these regulations, the Porsche 962 was introduced in 1984, appearing in the IMSA series in the USA. Further revisions were made to comply with the Group C regulations enacted in 1985, producing the 962C. This machine was provided not only to factory teams but also to private teams, achieving success in world championships as well as races in America and Japan, demonstrating exceptional dominance in global sports car racing.
