The AMX-30 is a main battle tank initially developed by France in the late 1950s. Originally, the development was a collaborative effort with Germany, but individual specifications led to independent designs. The prototype was completed in 1960, with deployment beginning in 1967. It featured a supercharged 12-cylinder horizontal diesel engine by Hispano-Suiza, capable of reaching speeds of up to 65 km/h. The main armament consisted of a 105mm rifled gun, CN-105-F1, manufactured in France, supported by a 12.7mm heavy machine gun and a 7.62mm machine gun. Active production continued until 1974, with the AMX-30 serving in the French Army and other countries like Spain, Greece, and Cyprus, showcasing its adaptability.
