Description

Building on the success of its 1/35 scale kits of the renowned M48 Patton medium tank, Dragon has introduced the intriguing M67 flamethrower used by the US military. Known as the "Zippo," it was originally based on an M48A1 tank hull, where the standard 90mm gun was replaced with an M6 flame gun connected to an M7A1-6 fuel and pressure unit. The 48-ton M67 was somewhat disguised by concealing the flame gun inside a dummy gun tube. The first M67 was completed in 1955, and a total of 109 units were manufactured for service with the US Marine Corps and US Army. They were deployed until 1974, participating in the Vietnam War.

This 1/35 scale kit incorporates the excellent features of Dragon's earlier M48-series models, but it has been specifically modified to represent the M67 Flamethrower Tank. New components include the gun shield, dummy gun barrel, and muzzle brake. Additionally, the flame projector inside the muzzle brake is a new addition. The mantlet cover is represented by DS to accurately replicate the material's appearance. Other necessary changes have been made, such as altering the headlight brush guards to accommodate the flame gun’s lower depression angle. This is a magnificent kit of the M67 and is expected to be highly sought after by modelers worldwide!
