About the Real Vehicle:
The Elephant was a formidable German heavy tank destroyer of World War II, known for its powerful 8.8cm 71-caliber long gun and heavily armored plates up to 200mm thick. Developed by Dr. Porsche as a prototype competing with Henschel for a Tiger tank model, the vehicle featured a fixed fighting compartment mounting the PaK43/2 8.8cm tank gun. Its unique driving system, powered by an engine-generator motor, was a distinctive characteristic. A total of 90 units were manufactured between March and May 1943 using pre-existing prototypes. The Elephant took part in the Battle of Kursk against the Soviet Union in July, showcasing its might. Despite issues with its distinctive system and limited mobility due to its weight, the Elephant was a steadfast participant in battles, serving until the war's end, including the defense of Berlin.
