Platz 1/100 JASDF Training Aircraft T-4 11th Squadron 20th Anniversary Paintwork Ver. Plastic Model

The T-4 is a subsonic jet aircraft developed by Japan as a successor to the T-33A trainer, and is an intermediate trainer for JASDF crew members who have completed their primary training on propeller aircraft and wish to move on to jet fighter training. It is characterized by the adoption of a new transonic wing type to achieve stable flight from low to high speeds (transonic speeds).

Due to its stable flight performance, it has been deployed to various units of the JASDF since 1988, but it is also used by the acrobatic flying team, Blue Impulse. In 2016, Blue Impulse celebrated its 20th anniversary and the 621st aircraft of the 11th Squadron was painted in a commemorative paint job and unveiled at the commemorative ceremony. At the ceremony at Matsushima Air Base, it attracted the attention of visitors along with the Blue Impulse.

This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the JASDF's trainer aircraft, the T-4, in 1/100 scale. Parts are included in the set for one aircraft. The 1/100 scale model has a total length of about 130mm and a wingspan of about 100mm. I'm looking forward to seeing it in such a convenient size.

This kit reproduces the special commemorative paint job that was unveiled at the 20th anniversary ceremony of the 11th Squadron in 2016, which marked the 20th anniversary of the T-4 Blue Impulse, which first appeared in 1996. The special markings on the tail are faithfully reproduced with decals.

Of course, the compact two-seater aircraft design that is familiar to Blue Impulse is faithfully reproduced with panel lines. An exhibition stand is included, and the landing gear parts can be finished in either landing or flying mode. This is a plane that you'll definitely want to build along with the Blue Impulse aircraft.
