Platz 1/144 Tornado IDS German Air Force (TTTE A Squadron) Plastic Model

The Tornado is a versatile attack aircraft developed through a joint effort by the UK, West Germany, and Italy. It had its maiden flight in 1974, with deployment starting in 1979. Two main versions were developed: the IDS attack aircraft specializing in low-altitude precision strikes and its derivative, the ADV air defense fighter, which were operational from the 1980s. It features variable-sweep wings and is powered by twin Turbo-Union RB199-34R Mk103 engines, allowing excellent short take-off capabilities. The aircraft is manned by a pilot in the front seat and a navigator in the back. Apart from being operated by the joint crew training organization TTTE, it is used by the bomb squadron and reconnaissance squadron in Germany.
