About the Actual Vehicle:  

The MG Metro 6R4 was developed and introduced by British Leyland in the World Rally Championship (WRC), which was contested by Group B machines from 1983. It was based on the Rover Metro, a compact car that debuted in 1980. Patrick Head, Technical Director of the prominent F-1 team Williams Grand Prix Engineering, was reportedly involved in its development.

This rally car featured a monocoque structure based on the Metro with a newly constructed steel tube frame in the rear half of the body. The engine configuration was a mid-mounted V8 engine. Specifically, it had a naturally aspirated aluminum 90-degree V6 engine of 2991cc. The driveline adopted a full-time 4WD system. It debuted in the final race of the 1985 season and competed in the 1986 WRC. It also made a name for itself at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb.

This is a 1/24 scale assembly kit of the MG Metro 6R4, which shined in rallies from 1985 to 1986. The kit is fully detailed, including the engine, accurately replicating the enthusiastic mechanisms of the Group B machines. The body boasts the imposing style unique to Group B cars, with its wide over-fenders, front wing, and rear spoiler.

The engine, located in the rear of the chassis, is a V6 that includes details from the main body to the transmission and 4WD mechanisms that distribute power front and back.
