This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Opel Ascona 400 Gr.4, which was active in rallies from 1980 to 1983. The body captures the style equipped with wide over-fenders, rear spoiler, and front skirt characteristic of a Group 4 machine all in one piece.
The cockpit features include rally-spec meters on the dashboard and footrests on the floor, modeled in 3D separate parts. The chassis undercarriage mechanisms such as the suspension are also precisely recreated, reflecting the Spartan racing nature of the rally car.
The marking replicates Jochi Kleint's machine, which finished third at the Monte Carlo Rally held from January 24 to 30, 1982, as the opening round of the 1981 WRC. Alongside the basic plastic parts, the kit includes detail-enhancing photo-etched parts, seat belt material, and masking sheets helpful for painting window frames.
