About the Real Car

From 2001 to 2006, Citroën, featuring the Xsara WRC, achieved 28 victories in WRC competitions. After pausing their WRC activities in the 2015 season, Citroën made a return in 2017 with the Citroën C3 WRC. Developed based on the commercial compact car C3's 5-door model, the car conformed to the World Rally Car (WR Car) standards. It featured a 1.6-liter inline-four engine mounted transversely at the front and utilized MacPherson strut independent suspension for all wheels. Debuting in 2017, it was driven by renowned drivers such as Kris Meeke, Sébastien Loeb, and Sébastien Ogier, securing 2 wins in 2017, 1 in 2018, and 3 in 2019.

About the Model

This 1/24 scale model kit, released by the Belgian model manufacturer Belkits, is known for its robust rally car models. The kit includes a supplementary Japanese assembly manual to ensure accurate assembly. The finished model reaches an impressive length of approximately 170mm, faithfully replicating the striking style of the World Rally Car with its pronounced over-fenders and large rear wing. The detailed chassis underside and the high-density cockpit enclosed by the suspension and roll bars enhance the realism.

The Finland Rally-specific gravel suspension and tires are precisely replicated. The kit also includes detail-up etching parts for brake discs, metal press parts to recreate the front fins, and metal pins for attaching auxiliary lights for night stages. Moreover, it includes a mask seal for painting window frames, carbon decals, and seat belts, making it a detailed and content-rich kit. The kit represents the markings of the car driven by Breen Craig, which secured fifth place in the 9th round of the 2017 WRC, the Finland Rally.
