About the Real Car

The Citroën C3 WRC marked Citroën's comeback in the WRC in 2017 after pausing their activities at the end of the 2015 season. With the Citroën Xsara WRC, Citroën recorded 28 victories over six years from 2001 to 2006. The Citroën C3 WRC was developed based on the commercial small five-door C3 model, following the World Rally Car (WRC) regulations. The car features a 1.6-liter inline 4-cylinder engine mounted transversely at the front. It boasts an independent MacPherson strut suspension on all four wheels and adopts a four-wheel-drive system. The car debuted in 2017, driven by notable drivers such as Kris Meeke, Sébastien Loeb, and Sébastien Ogier, securing two wins in 2017, one in 2018, and three in 2019.

About the Model

This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit, accurately recreating the Citroën C3 WRC in a new mold, released by the Belgian model manufacturer Belkits, known for its enthusiastic development of rally car models. A supplemental instruction manual in Japanese is included for assured assembly. The finished model measures approximately 170mm in length, showcasing a powerful style with the wide front and rear fenders of its World Rally Car specification and a large rear wing modeled in realistic detail. The chassis underside, cockpit surrounded by suspension, and roll bar are crafted with dense detailing. The suspension and tires emulate the tarmac specification unique to the Tour de Corse.

Soft plastic materials are used to replicate part texture with precision. The kit includes detailing upgrade parts like etching parts for brake discs, metal press parts for body front fins, and metal pin parts for supplementary lights for night stages. Additionally, the comprehensive kit comes with mask seals for painting window frames, carbon decals, and seat belts. The kit allows recreating the markings of the car driven by Sébastien Loeb in the fourth round of the 2018 WRC, the Tour de Corse.
