During World War II, the Japanese Navy developed and operated a local fighter aircraft known as the Shiden Kai. Initially designed as a seaplane fighter named the Kyofu, it was later improved to create the Shiden Kai with a low-wing design. The aircraft underwent test flights in January 1944 and was officially deployed in January 1945. Equipped with the Homare 21 engine, it showcased superior performance in maneuverability and speed, valiantly intercepting incoming US aircraft during a worsening war situation.

Model Description

This model accurately recreates the Shiden Kai, the Japanese Navy's fighter aircraft from World War II, on a 1/144 scale.
