Since the opening of the railway on October 14, 1872, steam locomotives have been at the heart of propulsion. However, with post-war modernization, their numbers declined, and the last steam locomotive-hauled passenger train on the Muroran Main Line (train 225) ran on December 14, 1975, disappearing from passenger service thereafter.
On the final day, the C57-135 locomotive, adorned with a headmark, pulled this train composed of 8 cars, four more than usual.
- Recreate the historical train 225, pulled by C57-135 on December 14, 1975, on the Muroran Main Line between Muroran and Iwamizawa, marking the last steam-hauled passenger train of Japan National Railways.
- Newly manufactured model of OHAFU62 with a conductor's room side through door made of wood and large windows.
- All passenger windows are reproduced with double glazing.
- The OHAFU35-714 is painted blue, while other cars are brown.
- Car numbers are pre-printed.
- Tail lights come with a constantly illuminated PCB. Equipped with an ON-OFF switch, OHAFU33-1031 and OHAFU62-13 have lights on the conductor's room side, while OHAFU62-10 lights up on the toilet side.
- New power collection system with black wheels.
- Due to mold constraints, some shapes differ from the real vehicles.
