Series 0 was the first commercial Shinkansen vehicle and started operation in 1964 when the Tokaido Shinkansen opened.
The group manufactured from 1976 was classified as the 1000th generation, with side windows made smaller due to minor changes.
The 1000's appeared with the replacement of the old vehicle being organized, but there were 3 unified formations only in this number, and the organization with beautifully arranged small windows was an attractive style .
