Seres 315 is a commuter train that was introduced in 2021 by JR Central to replace the 211 series and other models on its network. The 315-3000 series is designed for flexible operation with short formations, featuring cameras and semi-automatic boarding buttons on the sides of the body.
With a four-car formation, this series is equipped with through gangways and electric couplers to facilitate compatibility with different train types, such as the 313 series, giving it a slightly different front design compared to the 0 series.
These trains are active on the Tokaido Main Line in the Shizuoka and Nagoya areas, as well as on branch lines like the Gotemba Line, Minobu Line, Taketoyo Line, and Kansai Line.
