The 313 series is a commuter train that began operation in 1999. Designed to run on various electrified lines for JR Central, this train adapts to the specific needs of each line, featuring specifications that adjust from formation length to seat arrangements for flexible operations.
The 1300 series group started operations in 2010. Its distinguishing features include the transverse cross seats between doors and long seats at the car ends in a two-car formation, which supports one-man operations. Currently, it mainly operates on the Kansai, Taketoyo, and Gotemba lines and is also active on sections of the Tokaido and Chuo lines.
