The Kinuura Rinkai Railway KE65 locomotives are identical to the JNR DE10 locomotives, with four units, numbers 1-3 and 5, manufactured at the time of its opening. Although units 2 and 5 were sold in 1984, due to increased freight traffic, two former JNR DE10 units were introduced in 1990, becoming the second-generation units 2 and 5. Currently, units 1, 3, and 5 are active in the railway.
