The KIHA 35 series is a general-purpose diesel car of the Japanese National Railways and appeared in 1961.
The one-sided cab is KIHA 35 type with toilet and Kiha 36 type without toilet.
Initially it was a two-tone color of cream and vermilion, but from around 1978 it was gradually changed to one color of vermilion No. 5, which is called the metropolitan area color.
