The HOKI 800 is a freight car that appeared in 1958 and is used for ballast spraying.
By 1974, 1066 cars were manufactured, but the bogie of the vehicle manufactured in 1974 was changed to TR225 type.
The HOKI 800 type enrolled in JR East is scheduled to be replaced by the introduction of the GV-E197 series.
