Description
The Nishitetsu 600 series was manufactured starting in 1962 for the Omuta Line (currently known as the Tenjin-Omuta Line). In 1990, operations began on the Miyajidake Line (now part of the Kaizuka Line), during which time the trains underwent modification for repurposing. Changes included replacing bogies with narrow-gauge-compatible ones and altering the body color to yellow with a red stripe. In May 2024, the Nishitetsu Kaizuka Line celebrated its 100th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, car numbers 606 and 656 were selected as wrapped trains. The design for these wrapped trains was created by Pantovisco, the artist behind Nishitetsu's official train characters, "Gatanco" and "Gotonco." The design features all ten station names of the Nishitetsu Kaizuka Line lined up below the side windows, with a dynamic depiction of "Gatanco" and "Gotonco" on the front, creating a striking and impactful visual. To mark the 100th anniversary of the Nishitetsu Kaizuka Line, models of these wrapped trains have been produced for collectors to keep as a lasting memory.
-The train can be motorized to an N scale train and is compatible with TM-12R Motorized Chassis, TT-04R Trailer Conversion Kit, and Tomix 0258 Pantograph.
