The EF210 is a DC electric locomotive that first appeared as a prototype in 1996 and has since served as a mainstay for JR Freight. The 0 series was introduced in 1998 as the first mass-produced group of the EF210, with 18 units manufactured, all allocated to the Okayama division. It was named "ECO-POWER Momotaro" after Okayama, the area where it was first deployed, through a public naming contest. Starting in 2019, the paint was changed to a blue base with white stripes, and from 2020, the "Momotaro" character was wrapped on the sides of the locomotive body.
