The EH500 type is a 2-car connection type AC / DC electric locomotive that started operation in March 2000.
The EH500, which belongs to the Sendai General Railway Department, is mainly used for towing freight trains between the Tokyo metropolitan area and Tohoku.
Among the tertiary type, the appearance of the 73rd and later vehicles has changed because the tail light has been changed to LED.
