Eva Unit 13, or the Thirteenth Unit, debuted in the Rebuild of Evangelion series of movies, one of many to emerge from the Evangelion franchise. Viewers meet Eva 3.0 in Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. It’s unique among other Evangelion units, with features that are clearly defined in the Medicom MAFEX figure. Find out more about why the Thirteenth Unit is so special, particularly in comparison to its Evangelion predecessors.
One of the reasons the Eva Unit 13 is a stand-out among other Evangelion units is that it needs not one but two Entry Plugs. It takes two souls to power Unit 13. The energy of two souls makes it possible to control Eva 13 and simultaneously use two Spears. However, the Thirteenth Unit is also quite versatile, as it’s possible to alter the control system to accept a single pilot. In the franchise, the unit is extraordinarily powerful, much more so than most of the Eva units to come before it. Something about the Eva 13 plastic figure hints at that power.
This version of Eva 3.0 comes from Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. Everything about the Medicom statue is sharp and sleek. You could spend hours rearranging and repositioning the figure. In addition to adding extra arms, you can also transform the unit’s shoulders and hands or add some of the additional included weapons.
