Yellow 2001 Astronaut figure

This is a lovely figure, with very well moulded features and joints cleverly integrated into the sculpture. The poseability is good, with a clear support stand that allows for standing and EVA floating display. There are two pairs of additional hands, although closed fists and pointing index fingers don't really add anything when the standard hands are nicely moulded to grip the EVA unit control! The visor is painted black, but as this represents the "polarised" mode of the helmet that is quite acceptable and obviously eliminated the need for a seperate clear visor and face sculpt which would have complicated the production process. Little details like the clear oxygen line are also included. There is only one real criticism of the figure, but it is a big one, given the attention to detail everywhere else -the mission patches on the suit, helmet and backpack are for CLAVIUS BASE rather than DISCOVERY. Granted they are very similar apart from the wording, but this is a howling error that takes a star away from what would be a 5 star review!
